Is there a good version of this...

I think that's quite possibly one of the most common styles of hunters available. You can literally find them almost anywhere in a design maybe 95% close to that one. I can't name any one model offhand, but you may wish to check out A.G. Russell's web site, and poke around the internet looking for Fallkniven products. There are a lot of custom makers who make something similar, as well, the Loveless pattern hunters are widely copied.

second vote for Brian Goode. His handle seems almost lifted right from that Gerber.

The blade is wider, though...

hey fellas !!! I'd love to make a knife for you buddy. The wait time wont be what your interested in but I'd get you on my list friend.

Your right Dan..............I handled that knife several times during my first 2 months of making and designing.

I am not making bolsters right now because I like to shape the whole handle and not have a flat bolster in my way :)
