Is there a Manly (Bulgaria) rep here?

I went to use this knife today & noticed a lot of side side side blade play. Then I noticed it was missing the pivot screw. It must have worked its way out, while I was on the job. I'm a roofer and anyone that's done that before know's it's extremely hard on your tools. I don't want to ship it to Bulgaria. I'd just like to know the exact size of the screw. I'll replace it myself & throw some blue lock tight on it.
Thanks for any help.
Regards,

P.S. This is the Wasp

I have the same issue except with a frickin dpx/lionsteel. They do not return any emails it seems, or I get marked as spam.

ACE would do that? If this works, I'd be a happy man :D

Ace stores *sometimes* don't carry screws with thread pitches that small.

Fastenal stores usually have at least down to 2-56.

Another contractor, here. I have that kind of problem from time to time on some of my tools. They lose adjustment screws, small nuts fall off important pieces, etc.

Fastenal is a good source, but you will have to buy 25 of each part, minimum. Last time I needed a fine machine thread bolt for one of my wood routers, they had one that would work but I had to buy a box of 50 for $30. That being said, I have a local "bolt and screw company" that can determine the size of the bolt and nut you need. My local guy doesn't mind telling me the what he has that will work, and if I have to buy 50, then he doesn't mind if I walk out with a handshake.

Then you can shop online and find what you need. Shipping will be more than the parts. The idea of Lowe's is good, too as you can replace the bolt and nut with stainless, then grind off the protrusion (if any) and not worry about corrosion. If you buy a steel bolt even if it is galvanized it will rust. I do roofing and repairs as well, and down here in S. Texas it is a sweaty business so get the stainless and cut/grind as you can to make that work.

ACE hardware
Thanks. I have one like 2 miles from me. I'm just gonna bring the whole knife. The good thing about Hardware stores, as opposed to Lowes & Home Depot, is there are still knowledgeable staff happy to help you.
Appreciate the help, guys.

ETA: Facepalm. I just realized I have another Wasp with black scales so I'll just take out that screw & bring it in to the hardware store.DERP!

Careful there with the woke crowd, you know how touchy they can get.... in Italy Andrea is predominantly a male first name. :D

You are absolutely correct - Andrea Mazzoli at Lionsteel is indeed a man. I work with a couple of "Andreas" who are women, and I did not even realize what I wrote in my post. I will edit it. :)

One of my Wasps had the same issue, the pin worked loose and I found it in the washer. It must have come out in the pocket of my jeans. I cannot promise But I did get some screws in a repair kit from Manly before Manly USA stopped distributing them. One of my clips was loose, I will take a look, at least find a size, maybe?

One thing to consider - it will most likely be a metric thread. Sometimes standard measurements are close (like I always say, 1/16" is pretty damn close to 1.6 mm - which I use to do of-the-cuff conversions for blade thicknesses etc.) but that wouldn't be good enough here. Getting small metric screws might be a problem depending on where you are.

Manly’s customer service isn’t very manly. I got their wasp years ago straight from their shop and nothing happened. I kept asking and asking and they finally shipped it when I filed PayPal dispute.

I like Manly’s designs, and their prices, and that they use some excellent steels, and that they grind them pretty thin, but the three Manly knives I’ve owned have definitely had poor finish. Mostly just really rough and/or sharp edges all over the place and things like that. They’re got potential but they need to step up their game.

I just use them as work knives. They're the only place I know where you can get S90V & G10 at under $80, so if they're a little rough around the edges, that's fine by me.
