Is there a "perfect" pocket knife?????????

IMO, yes there is. Different, for different people, of course.

My perfect pocket knife is the CF Spyderco Military.

The combination of size, weight and ergonomics suits my needs better than any other.

MY Militaries, CPM D-2, S90V and CPM M-4 are all used, but the S90V blade is used the most.

I am so enamored of this knife, that I would carry it even if it was only available in a low grade steel.

Having said that, I sincerely hope that I live to see the day that the CF Military in my pocket will have a blade of B.U. K390, at RC 64-65 or even better, CPM Rex 121 at RC 69-70.:D:thumbup:
(I can dream, can't I?:))

There are a million perfect pocket knives and I've gotten through about 200 or so in 51 years. I sure hope I can keep going in the next chapter....:)

Spyderco Delica fits the bill perfectly for me.

Cheap enough I don't worry about it, and the VG10 is the perfect EDC steel, taking an amazing edge quite easily, and still holding it for some harder use. It is thin, and incredibly light, but very tough at the same time. Pocket clip goes in any direction, and the FRN is great, especially with the multi direction patter. And it comes in a different color for any occasion. ;)

I have several others, and even some high end stuff but for a pocket knife this one finds it's way into my EDC more than anything else.

I'm not sure there is one that is perfect but there might be some that are close enough. The problem is that new models come out that are more perfect than the previous perfect. We have to understand this and realize that the search for the perfect knife is the enjoyment.

I've got easily 3 in my EDC that I could consider perfect for me- Para 2, Benchmade Stryker, Benchmade Barrage. But no doubt there will be even more perfect knives available in the future and when I find them I will buy them.

I still haven't found the perfect one yet but the closest so far is the Benchmade 810 Contego. Maybe if it had LSCF scales with a Bolster, a stonewashed blade, lanyard hole, and maybe a stainless steel like M390 or S90V. But the M4 is great.

In some ways I hope I never find the perfect knife because then the search would stop, and lets face it, the search is half the fun :)

I dont know of a perfect but I've got a favorite out of my favorites. It would be my Stretch CF. The problem is, I only have one and since it is disco'd, I'm keeping it LNIB for now. I hope to grab another one so I can bring one out with me. For now, my main edc is a Stretch BRG.

I would love a military in k390. I guess the small fixed blade will have to suffice ;)

when ever I see these kinds of threads I remember a post I read saying "the best knife you buy is the next one".

I do not have perfect knife yet. I have few near perfect for me.

Man, that's a great question! Mine depends on what day of the week it is. Some days I carry two, only because I can't decide which one I want more :) Lately, it's been a Native 5. Sometimes with a fully serrated tenacious, or delica, or endura....

For me its the Para 2, well as close to perfect as it can get. Its like a mini Millie, good slicer but more pocketable

For me, it varies from day to day, and sometimes from task to task. Stretch is perfect most days. Chaparral fills that role on days when I have a 3" blade length limit to contend with. Kiwi is perfect as functional jewelry and for more delicate tasks.

My perfect knife is the Military also, but in regular ol s30v. Every time I handle mine, I am stunned by its weight, length of blade, length of handle, lock strength, pocketability, cost, cutting ability....I could on and on, but I won't.

I will ways have a Military, but all my future knife purchases are merely to satisfy my curiosity, not to find a better knife.

Perfect pocket knife is like perfect woman. Everyone has their ideal in their head but once you get it you're like HMMM maybe if this was just a little different so then you're chasing after your "Perfect" forever! ENJOY THE CHASE.

Sage 2. I haven't really bought anymore knives after my sage 2 besides another one for backup.

To me, the search is great fun. I've bought a couple of dozen knives since the "Military" bug bit. But none of them have measured up

I suppose it's a bit like searching for a better Scotch after drinking Caol Ila. There are many good ones, but I've found none that measure up to Caol Ila.:)
