Is there a problem with Black Bear knives?

Hello, CS, welcome aboard.
This may be your first tough question. I heard from a pretty good friend of mine (who is the guy who sells me knives at the local sporting goods store) who is quite knowledgeable about knives that:
The Black Bear has had major production problems, that the welding on some of the ones he'd seen was pretty bad.
PLEASE NOTE: I am not critising CS in any way. I've never actually handled on of these, and I think they are beautiful, and I want one, BUT, I'm not going to get one unless I can be sure that a knife that costs that much is well put together.
So, what can you tell me about the quality of the Black Bear, and has your company been able to put a stop to any production problems that might have occured.
Thanks.

There is no production problem with the CS Black Bear Classic. The only production change for the BBC is we only offer the double edge version. The single edge or "Unsharpened Top" version has been discontinued. Customer returns for manufacture defects is non existent.
