Well there should be. Like when you lose a tooth and get money.

Today I removed ALL the teeth from my Victorinox One-hand Trailmaster.

The serrations were on the FRONT of the blade and useless for me. Soooo......who ya gonna call? Serrationbusters!

File, coarse whetstone, Sharpmaker.

Ahhhhh. No more teeth.

I like it better. Even took down the hump a bit.

Nice job Lavan. I have one of these and I hate serrations too, well maybe not hate but I don't buy anymore knives that are serrated if I have a choice. At least on this knife they weren't so deep as to catch on materials while cutting. I like your finished product though :)

You may not find any money under your pillow, but you'll find you have a good sharp knife now and it's easy to keep it that way. :)

What I want to know is, if there are serration fairies, can they get married in Massachussetts? :D

I don't know what the heck I did, but the thing has ended up sharper than any knife I have EVER owned. It pops hair with the weight of the blade. I even cut a CAT hair by pressing the blade against it this morning.

I always thought the steel on SAK's was junk. If this be junk, bring me more.

  :)

Yes, I'm brining up an old thread..

I too have removed the oddly placed and weak serrations from my trailmaster, and yes it gets very very very very very sharp. The SAK steel is not junk. It's softer than many though. It takes a very fine edge. Also the blades are thin and flat ground, they are slicing monsters!

(I've shaved part of my face with my trailmaster and my Cybertool, just to prove to myself that I could. Can only do the flat spots though, curved blade on a jawline is trouble. )
