Being new, I was wondering if there is one show that everyone here goes to, or atleast tries? and if not, there should be a BF shop talk convention in Vegas, I would go for sure. It would be nice to meet everyone plus I owe a few guys a beer or two.

Just be in Atlanta for the 4th, 5th and 6th of June 2004, and you will see a whole lot of us. :)

Yep, Blade show it is! :)

Please, please, please someone back out so a table opens up! :D I'm on the waiting list! :D :D

Thats far! Plenty of time to make plans. thanks. Is there a site that has more info?

mattd
Blade magazine usually has all the info you need about upcoming shows, and will have loads of info about the Blade show in Atlanta as the calendar gets closer to the show dates. They cosponsor it.

Blade is it - and you'd be nuts to miss it!

yeahup Blade :D
this next year I'd like see a meeting time in the pit
I missed some of you guys this year:(

I just gave the boss seven months notice...I'm going to be in Atlanta and they had better get someone trained to cover for me.

I'm not sure if I'll be there for all three days, but I'll be there.

The travel account doesn't look good. Matter a fact, I don't have one. Any advise on cheap ways to make a flight and stay in Atlanta from California happen?

and there are too many others that will allow you to book well in advance for a trip like that. I fyou are looking on the really cheap, I am sure there ia a motel six somewhere close by the show area. Just get a good map of atlanta, or be ready to call a cab. Every street in the area is named peachtree.....

I would so like to meet you guys, and see first hand some of the work that is coming out of talented hands.

I am still looking for a smith to train under, but am getting my forge up this winter smith or no smith. I think I can remember enough to get going again. I surprised myself with what I remember when I poured the concrete for the perimeter of the building last weekend....lol. All this and I am only 35....hahahahaha.

Mattd...keep an eye open in the community center. Sometimes people get together and split the cost of a room.

The cost of the flight is a big one tho.

Matt, if you need it, I'll split a room with you...we're staying within walking distance to the show and the rooms are only $90 per night...

that sounds really good Darren, I'm not sure if I can go yet. If you need to know by a certain time, I can get you an answer.
