Is there a similar knife to the Edge Design Genesis I and II?

Hey guys, I just received the last 2 Edge Design Genesis IIs from Skylands Cutlery for $40 each. One is my use knife, and the other is for keeps or spare parts.

I know Edge Design is out of business, which is a shame, really. The Genesis II is just about everything I want in a folding knife. It rides low in my pocket, the scales are stiff, the liner locks with a satisfying click, the blade is flat ground spear point, and it has a recess in the handle that acts like a miniature psuedo-guard.

My question is, are there any other folding knives out there that are similar in specs and design to the Edge Design offerings while remaining in the price range set by the Genesis series?

Hmm. I was going to suggest the Al Mar SERE 2000, but it's probably a little more expensive than what you're looking for.

I know a couple of years back, when EDI was reaping some good reviews, Knife Center was doing a side-by-side comparison of the BM 800 and the EDI Gen. 1. Different blade profile, and the Gen. 1 has phosphor bronze washers, but I think there is some reason that both knives appear to be similar. I bought one when they came out--had to send it back after a year for lock failure. They sent me a replacement and now it sits. Too bad, that knife had promise when it came out.

I have a EDI Gen 2. Lock doesn't really work anymore, i can close it like slip lock style knife now, lock just slides right out of the way :(. And the handles are really flexy, too. It just sits now. I got a MT LCC...much nicer :)
