Is there a spyderco draw method?

I've read in threads that there is a certain technique to draw/open spydies that's fast, once mastered. Is this true? Is there a video? Does it apply to tip up or tip down?

Tip down, pull the knife out of your pocket and pinch your forefinger and thumb in the hole. Flick the knife downwards and the handle will swing right into your palm. Spydie drop I believe it's referred to.

Much fun to do but I carry tip up.

I prefer tip up also, but it limits the size of knife I can carry. I guess it's limited by the length of your thumb, but the biggest knife I can carry and deploy smoothly is about 3", actually smaller, about 2.75". I figure if there's a way to carry tip down that allows a bigger knife with a smoother draw, i could learn to carry tip down.

Tip up or down, draw time is the same for me give or take .1 of a second... like it matters anyway.

If there's a youtube tutorial to drawing tip down knives I'd like to see it. I can't seem to get it. I'd love to carry an endura, but too big to carry tip up, and be able to draw without juggling the knife.

Try drawing your tip down Endura by grasping the Spyderhole between your thumb and forefinger and pulling it quickly from your pocket.

This video explains it pretty well. It all depends on your approach IMO. The classic tip-up draw where the palm faces behind you won't work with tip-down knives and vice versa. For tip-down your palm will face relatively forward, as in you pinch the knife and drop the butt of your palm down. When you pull the knife up the back of the handle will naturally swing into your palm as you move your hand upwards. If you draw a tip-down knife with your palm facing backwards it sets you up for a spydie drop.
