Is there a sturdier/better alternative to DMT ABG Aligner Blade Guide / Knife Clamp??

First, I did google this thorughly but now don't know what to think. As is so often the case some reviewers loved it while others said it was very
"flimsy". I am sure that a good deal of subjective thinking was involved and not all was objective. I have tried lots of other guided systems but now I just order my DMT stones and am wondering if this is a good clamp system to use, or if there are other relatively inexpensive alternatives.

Thanks to all.

I prefer the Lansky clamp as well, it's got some issues with full flat grinds I agree with Blame it on god... overall a better clamp...

I also use the Lansky clamp with the DMT stone holder. I already had the Lansky kit, but didn't like the performance of the Lansky diamonds. The DMT diamonds cut much faster and leave a cleaner smoother finish.

I've used my Lansky clamp with my Dia-Folds & Magna-Guide. The Lansky clamp handles smaller blades better than any other I've used (also have Gatco and Aligner clamps), so it's easier to use the lower angle settings that'd otherwise be impossible with the Aligner clamp. I like the Aligner clamp for larger blades, and it's excellent in combination with a bench stone as well.
