I took apart the new to me Sebenza 25 that I got off the forum to give it a good cleaning and wanted to know if there is an optimum torque spec for the pivot pin? I first snugged it down and found that it would not pivot, so I loosened it up some, and I wanted to see what is recommended. Thanks

I always just snug them up. Nothing too loose or tight.

There was a thread about this quite awhile back and there is a torque spec. The individual was wanting to buy a torque wrench that was specially made for the sebenza torque setting.

The spec from CRK is 8 lbs.

Here is the thread:

Thanks. I had adjusted it to where it felt "good", but I wanted to check and make sure that I was not leaving it too loose. It was tight enough that it would open freely and had no side play.

That is right where you want it. Just tight enough to be centered with no side to side play.

The loosest you can achieve that status is where you want it to be, for ease of opening. Use a drop of the Locktite so once you have it that way it stays that way. One drop is all you need, don't coat the entire thing. It's not necessary.
