I have always wanted a trench knife but as i live in Canada i cant own one with metal knuckles I wonder if any body knew of one that use a material other than metal for the knuckles I hope you can help me thanks

I think cold steel has one like that. You may check some M-Tech offerings too. Not sure about the "quality". Good luck with your quest.

You can get the cold steel version all in rubber, the actual knife the handle is cast zinc i think.

the blade can be steal the loop hole in Canada the knuckles or the guard has to be some material other than metal

Maybe buy the composite cold steel trainer version and attach it's handle section to an inexpensive Mora blade ?

The CS Chaos series knives are aluminum, and most other versions and makers use stainless steel, aluminum or brass (like the original Mark 1 Trench knife)
Even the cheapo BudK knife has a (pot) metal knuckle-handle ...

What about having a set made from Micarta or Carbon Fiber?

If you have an older military styled knife with a screw on butt cap, and a little extra room in the handle, you can make it work.

- Disassemble the knife down to the tang, and thread the knuckle/guard on.
- Butt handle up against the inside of the guard (against the tang) and mark how much handle material has to be removed.
- Remove offending material
- Reinstall your new sized handle and the knuckle/guard bottom support.
- Reinstall the butt cap with some loctite.

I am sure some of the Knifemakers here can make your the knucke/guard. Especially the ones that sell knuckles/"paper weights" on the exchange.

Many makers in Canada can grant your wish with the real deal, or something very close.
