I'm just wondering.. I want to get a Horseman and would really prefer the blade to be completely blank, no Emerson branding and patent numbers etc. Is there anyway I can buy blades like this? Or someone on this forum who can take it out?

Cheers

I don't think you can get sterile blades, the only way to know for sure would be to call and ask the factory. As far as removing it, you could sand it off yourself if it's a satin finish, if you have a black blade, the only thing I can think of would be to use some sort of black epoxy, and use a super thin coat.

Actually you can see the logo on that piece. Faint, but it's there.

There are Sterile Emerson blades. I've seen Sterile Commanders before, but from what i understand, these were most probably a special order, (most likely from a military order).

I guess you could:
- Send an email to EKI/Ernie, & check with them
- Look out for a Sterile Emerson on the secondary market
- Contact a pimper to "sterilize" a stock blade.

Cheers and Regards,
Nick

You can ask. I will just say that there are some knives made only for the military that are totally sterile.

Not sure if they will do it for the average joe though

LOL, anyone ever try taking one of those permanent markers to try and darken out the blade? :)
