Was the Blue Native 3s a hit. What is the thinking on future forum models?

From what I can tell the Blue Native 3-D wasn't a huge hit. Probably well under 100 numbered models out there - at least 22 because that's what I got.

I hope there will be more! However, if there was relatively little uptake on the Forum models, I can understand them coming out less frequently. They also probably wouldn't be as "special" More likely, as with the two recent models, they'll just be "Forum" engraving on what will be a short production run. Maybe "Forum" engraving available on a sprint run of a CF model which will also get broader distribution. This makes it more of a commemorative rather than a collector special. The only issue - would people be willing to pay full MSRP at the SFO and engraving cost to buy a model that will also be available through dealers at a significant savings.

Hi Joyce,
Can ya'll post the actual grit of all your sharpening stones? Medium , fine , & ultra fine are just too vague for some of our needs . I already have a post up on this subject for Sal & have talked to Christina but you guys must be pretty busy.

We're also trying to get a Sharpening forum started, to keep all that good info in one place , but don't really know how to get it going. A poll of members maybe?
Thanks in advance..

A "sharpening forum" is something you should be discussing in the General Discussions forum in the General section, not the Spyderco brand forum.

Hi Carlos,
Yep, I realize what forum I'm in, but I already started a thread on this subject in the Blade Discussion Forum. It's now 3 or 4 pages back , but you can review it here.

And a related thread.

They seemed to get good response & interest, but nobody who replied had any suggestions as to how to go about starting a Sharpening forum. So what do YOU think? It seems to be an obvious thing to have. I know I've spent a lot of time searching for info of that nature here , when a forum would make it a lot easier to access the bulk of the topic.

We just don't know how to go about starting something like that, though I'm sure you do. Need a little help Mr. Wizard :)

Talk to Spark, he owns Bladeforums.com. But if there isn't enough popular support he may not go for it. I don't presume to speak for him of course.
