Is there still going to be a new fixed blade?

CRK did a survey a while back about an outdoor/wilderness fixed blade. Any more info on that?

I have seen nothing, but I'm always looking. I don't know how long the product design cycle is. And then tooling! Should we be cooling our heels until 2018? And did they even decide to pursue it?

I hope that the wait indicates a major re-think of their offerings. The current designs are cool to look at, but don't call to me enough to pick one up. Sometimes I consider a GB or a Pacific, but those combo-blades kinda kill it for me. I just can't do serrations on a woods knife. The Nyala also looks nice, but I don't really have much need for a relatively thick knife, of that small size, with aggressive traction on the handle. I understand it's a good skinner, but I'm more of a bushcrafter/firebuilder/fisherman than I am a hunter.

Anyways........it's hard for a company to be good at both folders and fixies, so it's not surprising to me that the folders get the most effort from CRK, and the most attention from fans and users.
