I saw this knife listed on [you guessed it] and noticed that the tang marking did not correspond with any dating chart I've seen. Is this a fake, part of a sprint run, or something else?
The dash "-" is the 1992 date code. Doug_86 is correct that the double dash is a mid year marking used on the 110 for an engineering change. In my experience the single dash is rare so the change must have happened early in the year. This applies only to the 110. I'm not going to take the trouble to look it up but I think the change was to the radius on the tang end of the knife. It's stuff like this that makes collecting Buck's fun.
