Is this a 110 twist?

I have a 560 with a 110 blade, so I could see it happening. In the case of 560's it's Buck using available 110 blades to complete 560's when they had more handles than blades.

This could have been a factory accident or a blade replacement under warranty.

Would make a good curio that one!
 
The blades are interchangeable so it is possible. The only question is, was it an oops or was it done on purpose? It could have been a warranty replace, I could see that happening. If that department ran out of 110 blades, and had 560 blades, then there you go.

i saw on ebay a 55
with a close up of the balde and it was stamped either 122 or 422!!
will a 442 interchange with a 112 - loooks mabbbby to meee!
i know it seem like it might but i hear that a 500 wont fit in a 112 or a 110...
how about it joe and leroy ? tho it may not be a "authroized interchange" list
what do youal's knolage and experance say as to what will go with what?
many inquireing minds, i am sure, want to know!!!;)
ps: i also seen on ebay what seems to be a 110 idaho balde in a 111 and Also seen one the other way! but that listing was cancled one hr later... makes you wander...
but as every one knows buck dont wast any thing use it up they do!

There might be more, but I'm fairly sure that the models:

110
111 (original)
186
426 (Bucklite)
560

All have the same blade in them.

Anyone think of anymore models?
 
this was a good thread and i still would like to know
what other blades "fit" other models..
Joe do you have an interchange list?
the 525 has so many it will go to .. has any one made a list?
the 112 - 422 - 450 and are there any others?
does the 500 or 501 505 510 ect fit other frames..?
i have even see a 446 in a 110 frame!
who had that pict?
 
The 442 will fit the 112 frame, as you well know...DarrellS and I (among others) have both posted pics of the conversion...

BCCL - I don't think the 186/110 is a direct swap...I believe there is a difference in the way the bushing "clamps" between the liners...and the backspring is different...but you could well be right...

Really??? As you can see by the watermark, I copied it off eBay...Someone else's auction...I've never owned a 186...that's why I only suspect the bushings are different... ;)

The 186 liners clamp on the bushing, and the blade pivots on the bushing...the bushing doesn't move...the 110 blade has a pressed-in bushing, and the bushing pivots between the liners...the bushing moves...

At least that is how I see it...Hopefully, someone with more hands-on experience will correct me... :D:thumbup:
 
I havent heard of an interchange list Dave.
As far as the 186/110 goes, I know that when we get customers calling, asking for a replacement blade for their 186, we insist that they send the whole thing in. I am not positive of the diference but I do know we have to monkey with it to make the 110 parts work.
I have fooled around with 186's using 110 blades/bushings and can say that it usually is not a direct swap. Some work required.
