Is this a Buck 110?

I recently inherited a knife from my wife's grandfather who was an avid hunter/outdoorsman in the Pacific Northwest. It is a folding knife in a 110 case, and looks a lot like a 110, but doesn't say 'Buck' anywhere on it. I can't find a picture of one quite like it. The brass part of the handle is engraved with hunting dogs. My guess is that it's 50 years old, plus or minus 25 years. I'd love to know more about it. Does this knife sound familiar to anyone on this forum?
Thanks, david

A photo would help ;)
There have been a gazillion variations of the 110 made over the years.

host the photo at photobucket, then copy the "IMG" code, and paste that code into your post here.

why is it such a hassel to post pics on this site?

The paid membership guys have it easier....they can post photos directly from their computer....

it isn't that bad, once you are used to it.... I just snap a photo with my smartphone, upload to photobucket, copy the "IMG" code and paste it in.
takes just a few seconds....

It is a hassle and people want them all the time. If your wanting accurate information it's the best way to get it. Otherwise look and read for days & weeks to find it. At the Buck Forum directory page. Look at the top and read the topic; how to post photos. DM

It takes much longer than he says. At least for me. I might can do it in 15-20 minutes. From the time I snap the picture. That's if the photo came out well on the first try. So, I take several pictures and down load them. Saving the best one.--- the clocks running. DM

I use photobucket. Even when I was gold. I have never bothered with uploading from my computer.

Takes a few minutes.

Ok, fine..... tried to time it, from pulling knife from pocket, snapping photo, uploading and posting....
And our dang internet kept.going on and off.....hahahaa

usually takes less than a minute for me, maybe 2 minutes maximum..... but if internet is failing it isn't even possible.....geez....

We drifted off a little to the OPs post. Yes, Jessie22 a photo will almost be necessary. If it does not say Buck stamped in the metal on the bottom of the blade or along the spine then there are questions.

I have always used PhotoBucket, I tried the other way once and didn't enjoy the experience. Remember to keep the size of you photo down to 800 pixels or less on the longest side. Because of the size of my home monitor I use 685 pixels as my longest side, then the whole photo fits within the confines of my screen. It can be a 'figure-it-out' project if someone has not fooled with computer photography. Start as suggested, Read the Sticky note on the top of the forum home page. 300

The Buck 110 is one of the most copied knives. I know of no standard 110 with dogs engraved on the bolsters. This is going to get nowhere without a picture. Email it to me and I'll post it for you. You can access my email by clicking on my username.

Please do it, we are less bored here when there is a mystery to solve.

Does it look like this vintage Parker?

BTW, the above photo was directly posted from iPad to forum using the photo insert button in every post (kind of looks like a tiny square window, third from right end of tiny radio buttons).

Pictures, we got to have pictures!

I purchased a buck 110 recently and it doesn't have Buck anywhere on it. The scales are plain, the blade has an anvil with 50 inside it and USA under the anvil. Fifty years from now when one of my decedents gets it will they call it a fake because it doesn't have a name on it? LOL

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no....not a Buck.

Gold members can post pics as attachments "straight from computer", but photobucket is much easier and versatile.
