Is this a copy or an original design?

I picked up a small fixed blade from one of those cheap china websites for $18 to use and abuse working in a warehouse. I is a Huang Fu advertised as 14c28n steel but who really knows, only been working it for a week and it does not suck. I was curious as to if this is a stolen design, like a copy of a discontinued BenchMade or some such. I saw many counterfeits and chose this because it did not have a makers name on it.

If you recognize it as someone's design pleas let me know so I can alter it to make sure nobody could ever be fooled by it.

Thank you for the info, now to figure out how to alter it. I knew it had to be a copy of something.

Why did you buy it then? Supporting knock offs sucks, I suggest cutting it in half to alter it.
Just a wild hair, I recently replace my old worn out BHK work knife with a $50 Kizer Deckhand in D2, and I just started looking at knives for a few months and shit happened.

Old BHK bench knife.

I will used the blade as a blank do a tad bit of reshaping put a nice stag handle on it with a homemade leather sheath. I dabble in knife making (stock relief) and adding fancy handles. then toss it the Christmas gift exchange this year for work.
