Is this a defect in my new Coldsteel Leatherneck SF?

I just got my brand new Cold Steel Leatherneck SF in the mail and it has these small little bumps on one side of the blade in a few spots. It almost looks like some little fibers or something got on the blade before they put a coating on it or something. These are raised and are not divets in the blade. Is this normal? If not, what is it and is it something I should return the knife over? Thanks for your help guys!

Any other help from anyone? I really appreciate all feedback. It seems every time I order something, there's a problem with it. I must have bad luck. I just want to know if this is something that is a problem with the knife requiring it to be returned.

No, this isn't a problem requiring it to be returned. If the vendor will allow it, you could return it just because it bothers you, but it won't affect the functionality of the knife in any way and for most folks it wouldn't be reason enough to return it.

Has anyone else seen this before? Thanks guys.

I have seen this on a few knives. It happens from time to time and like others have mentioned, it will wear off very quickly with regular use.

Solid knife "Ish Happens" ... Seriously, if you're planning to display it return it, if not it does NOT affect the integrity of the knife. It isn't related to blade steel, heat treatment etc, simply a blemish in the finishing process.
