I just bought a manix off of Amazon, it said Spyderco store on the top of the page but after buying it I realized it wasn't from them directly. The back of the handle seems kind of iffy. Not sure if it's a fake or if I'm just paranoid. The box other than the sticker looks very similar. I'll post a video let me know what you guys think.
Sorry for any background noise I'm at work while taking the video.

Hi Koda,

Welcome to our forum.

Understand your concern, unfortunately, doubtful situations are abundant. Even the "Spyderco Store" you spoke of is fake. We're constantly stopping people pretending to be Spyderco or Spyderco's product being counterfeited.

Sometimes it seems that the quantity of thieves in this modern world is greater that the honest, decent folks.

Id recommend not buying knives off of Amazon to be honest. Ebay is bad enough(go search for a benchmade crooked river on there right now), but Amazon is an actual cesspit of scams and fakes.

One of the sellers on Amazon is a Spyderco dealer who has an agreement with Spyderco to sell on Amazon. It's not hard to check seller names against Spyderco's dealer list. The rest of them are dubious.

Can't tell if the knife is fake or not from the vid. Vid makes me dizzy w/too much movement. Still shots would be better, especially of the box & label which is something most fraudsters can't get right.

But whether it is or not, Amazon has a liberal but time sensitive return policy. So, if you have any doubt about it, just return it & buy another 1 from a BF sponsor, like BHQ or the KC.

You can also do better on the price if you buy direct from Spyderco but ONLY is you're an OpFocus member. Otherwise, unless its a sale item, Spyderco only sells at MSRP.
