I am relatively new to buck knives. I just purchased my first 110 at a local store a few weeks ago and with the high quality of it being very apparent I decided to order another. So, I hit up ebay and got this knife for $7.00 thinking I was getting a deal. I got it today in the mail, and can now only assume it's a fake. Maybe someone can enlighten me a bit. Thanks!! (edit: I saw one just like this in the fake knives sticky. The only difference is the one I got has a model # on it)

Thank you ITE.

Martian, selling fakes on eBay is not allowed. You might consider getting your money and shipping cost back by opening a case with ebay. You have been taken advantage of and I am sorry for your troubles.

How to harden yourself against fakes, counterfeits and knockoffs:

1. Buy directly from the Buck Knives, Inc. factory store in Post Falls, Idaho. http://www.buckknives.com/

2. Buy from authorized Buck Knives dealers. Contact Buck Knives, Inc. for the dealer list. http://www.buckknives.com/dealer-locator/

3. Buy from reputable Buck Knife dealers. There are no reputable dealers selling on ebay out of the orient. None. The authorized dealer list here on Bladeforums is a terrific source of reputable dealers. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1089879-Paid-Dealer-Members-List-(Updated-9-3-14)

I agree with Oregon, open a case. Hopefully you will get your money back and at the same time discourage one seller from ripping off other buyers.

It is for sure a fake. Buck never made a knife like that. Open a dispute and get your money back and leave this buyer the feedback they deserve.

Sorry to hear you got took but at least it wasn't for a lot more money.
