My buddy brought this over to show it to me and have me sharpen it. He was pretty excited that he found a benchmade in a car.( He repairs repo cars ) I took one look at the lock and thought " FAKE"
Can any of you folks tell me if it is a fake or not? It would be nice to be able to tell him that I was wrong and it is just a BM I have never seen before. Thanks in advance.

Glad you all figured it out! I just wanted to mention that the arc lock would be ambidextrous like the axis. I tried an arc lock but couldn't get over the angle needed to disengage the lock. Very strong lock but not as good as the axis IMO.

It's a Rolling Lock, originally developed by REKAT. BM bought REKAT, and used the lock on a few models.

was that part of the red line?

Si. The Rolling Lock on it was pretty cool and it was a well-made knife for its respective class/price. I always wanted one but at the time chose to buy a pair of Benchmite IIs and never got around to it.
