Yes, it is a good knife if you are looking for a daily user. If you are looking for a closet queen then no. And, yes, it was made by Camillus.

Rick, I have a thousand questions on the Buck contracts, maybe sometime we will run into one another. I talk to Phil at the BladeShow but we both are busy and I can never think of all the questions.

So, here are two. Was the angled bolster a exclusive design for Buck, but extra parts used in some other special orders ? Wasn't Camillus's stockman of this design and size made with straight bolsters. Let me add one more....if a tang has printed markings, not stamped, would the original be any knife that you had extra blades or would you use only Camillus blades and grind off the stampings.

See, you may not want to let me ask questions......300Bucks

P.S. A closet queen can be any knife, it just depends on what you 'collect'......

thanks guys,i actually was looking as being of collector value down the road, but i guess not.
well,i am just not that familiar with these contract knives....there is just so much to know, and
i am bad at storing information anymore.....i still love the thrill of the hunt,

300Bucks,

I would not say exclusive so much as original design. The slanted bolsters were used for other knives by design. It was not necessarily dependent on left over parts. MOST Camillus knives utilized straight bolsters. And if there are blades that are printed with a name, it is assuredly a blade that had a tang stamp ground off and all available blades were used regardless of tang stamps.
