I dunno much about Emerson's but I really like the 2001 Emerson SPECWAR B SF with green handles. What would be a good price for a knife like this which is in perfect condition? The guy is selling it for $145.

I say: Buy It NOOOOWWW!!!! im not so long time ago in the world of Emersons but my opininon is that if it has a good lockup, and nice condition, its a good price for a classic like that. :p

I would more than likely pay $145 for that knife. The green G-10 knives are fairly rare so are more desirable and that does put the numbers up a bit.

That's also a nice knife no matter what colour it is so snap it up before someone else does :)

Buy it and if you don't like it, I'll take it off your hands for the price you paid plus shipping! (upon your going to Gold Membership first per BF rules) :)
Have fun and enjoy it!

I would buy it for that price as well. The green handled variants are tough to find and usually demand higher prices. The lock-up would be my main concern but other than that it looks good to go.

the green G10 isnt very common, most of the ones i have seen are specwars though, or SOCFK's which have the same handle, i would say its worth ~ $150 or so so if ya want it go for it,

personally i prefer black blades with green G10 but YMMV.

I had a green/black G-10 Specwar for a bit. Bear in mind they are a bit smaller than the regular Emersons and the blade is quite narrow.

If you like the beefier Emersons then you might feel a bit let down when you get it.

Apart from that it is a classic design and still plenty of knife for most folks.

Here's a comparison pic with some other models.
