Is this a knock-off of something?

I've read that Sanrenmu makes some clones of other knives and was wondering if this one was based on someone else's design? Their model number is T01.

Which model do you mean? I'm looking through CRKT's site and am having trouble finding it, also googling for the words you used.

hes kidding lol some people are gullible. Chris reeves does not make a bottle opener. no it is not a knockoff as far as i can tell.
But it is still a piece of junk

I thought he meant CRKT but made a typo. What makes this knife junk, or are you just assuming it is because it's made in China? (which doesn't help its case, but still...)

Have you ever actually held one of those Sanremu knives? Are they really as bad as you make them sound? What about their 710 model, the one that looks somewhat like a small Sebenza?

yes i have held a few, theyre not thast great. I admit they can but things and they will fool some people, but seriously just buy the real thing. They do pose a real safety threat of lock failure, and blade failure(i have seen those blades snap in half before my eyes and release sharp metal shards).

actually, from everything i have read here they are making pretty good products.

str did a review of a model, and i certainly value his opinion.

I have handled several Sanrenmu folders. Seriously the fit and finish is about the same as $100 USA made knife if not better. However, the steel and other materials they use are not good. It is said the blade can't hold a sharp edge for long.

I think they may be trying to copy the shape of the blade from the Sanrenmu 710. :p

Their knives are great for the price. For around $10, you get a knife at least as nice as some of the Buck/Spyderco-Byrd/Kershaw imports and much better than what Gerber/S&W/many others are offering for more money. However, Buck/Spyderco/Kershaw are going to give you much better support for their products.
