Is this a Mike Leach Knife?

Thank you so much. I also have been researching and never found anything. He's passed on now, so I can't ask him. The post you referred me to was way back in 2008. He or she did say that "there was another actual knifemaker named Milo that makes a real nice knife." You wouldn't know anything about him; would you? Or because it was so many years ago (the post), do you think I could ask him or her about this? I'm new to forums, so I don't really know the proper way of going about this. Thank you. Anne

Anne, sorry you are striking out everywhere. The poster of that thread has not logged on since 2012. He's gone....

I googled "Milo Leach Knives" and a TON of Michael Leach images came up.

Not ONE of them had damascus, and not one of them had 'MILO' as a mark.

Your bowie, in my opinion, is a nice knife with Pakistani steel. That steel (and build quality) is very characteristic.

IF it is an heirloom, cherish it! If otherwise, well......

I wish I was wrong.

Thanks so much for your help. I have sold quite a few Leach knives in the past. Maybe 7 years ago, so my memory is a little dim. Ok, I think I paid a little too much for the knife, but it goes with the territory. When I play poker and lose, it's all gone, but maybe I can recoup some of my cash. And I do love to play poker. Maybe too much. Again, thank you, you have been the only one to help me with this and now I can just close my research time down and get to selling it. Take care. Anne

His real name was milo everyone called him mike , worked at GM as a tool and die maker at the engine plant in Flint Michigan. I never seen a knife of his either made out of Damascus or him signing it milo.. his shop was in his basement of his house he didn’t have a forge to do Damascus steel himself not to say he may have had Damascus steel he could have made a knife from.. most of all the knives were d2 or 440c from what I remember..all the knives I seen were signed LEACH or MLEACH

Could someone please help me identify this knife? I know that Mike Leach was also called Milo. It is a Damascus design knife with sheathe. 10-1/2 inches long with a 6 inch blade. Thank you for any assistance.

Miss Anne Marie,

I know your post is five months old, but I just saw this. I've known Mr. Leach since I was 15 and I'm sure I can help if you're still interested?

Mike Leach is my father in law. To my knowledge he has never made a damascus blade. It looks like his style but if it is a damascus blade.... Probably not his.

Just to clarify he has made knives with damascus blades but very few. And after talking to him that is not his knife. A Mike Leach knife will have his name stamped. Never Milo.

These is the son of your dads college roommate,, your dad made lots of knifes for dad ( Jerry) ! I have one of the very first ones he made! @ he made 3 his last 3 ( because he’s eyes were going bad) my dad said,, one for my dad, one for me , and one for my bother (Jeff) ! All the same (except).. dad’s has a extra mark...
