I would like to confirm the model of this spyderco folder before offering it up for sale. 7" oal. 3" blade, VG10, Seki Japan.
Any help much appreciated.
Would you be willing to suggest a fair asking price for this knife? I did find out it's considered a Series 2 knife but I couldn't find much on the internet regarding prices other than for Series 5 Natives.
The Gen2 was also reportedly made between 1997-2007. So, it is certainly possible that later versions of the knife were made w/VG10 blades but it is an obvious question concerning the authenticity of the knife that any collector (like me) would raise.
PS: If you're planning to sell it, I'd suggest flipping the clip to the opposite side for right hand carry (which is what most buyers expect to see) and also to inspect under the contact point for any hidden damage.

There are 5 generations of the Native. The S/S version was the 2nd Generation.
They stopped using a swedge with in the 4th generation. BTW, the 3rd generation is numbered C78, not C41.
From top to bottom: 1) Native 1 Black FRN PE GIN1 (C41BKP); 2) Native 1 Black FRN PS GIN1 (C41BKPS); 3) Native 2 SS PE AUS10 (C41P);
4) Native 2 SS PS AUS10 (C41PS); 5) Native 3 Black FRN PE VG10 (C78PBK); 6) Native 4 CF PE VG10 (C41CFP); 7) Native 5 Black G10 PE S35VN (C41G5P);
8) Native 5 Fluted CF PE S35VN (C41CFFP5) and 9) Native 5 Fluted Ti PE S35VN (C41TIF5).
I also have a Native 3 Black FRN PS VG10 (C78PSBK) that is not in the picture. There is also a limited edition Native 3 Blue FRN PE CPM440V (C78PBL) that I've seen but have never been interested in adding to my collection.
