Is this a photo of a Gen 1 C07 Police Model?

Looks like a Gen1 since it doesn't have the beveled handles and it looks like the steel is unmarked.

Well, by Spydiewiki's criteria, it would be a Gen 1. However, it's hard to say whether the lock is the old or new. Very early specimens of the Police have the lock well cutout forward of the front-most finger separator. You can see a picture of one in the 1986 catalog. Later ones have it further back, behind that separator. While I'm inclined to think the well on the one in that photo is behind the separator, the angle from which it was taken makes it impossible for me to say for sure and I don't know enough about the history of the Police to say for certain whether the lock changed before, or at the same time, the handle bevel was added.

That picture is of a second generation.

If you click on the picture, then click on the magnifying glass icon a couple of times, you'll get to the original full-size picture. At the top left you can see a first and second generation side by side.

Awesome!

I guess I should have said "the picture I saw when I clicked on your link" instead of "that picture". The two on the far left in my picture are first generation. I had wondered why they called the Police 3 a 3 instead of a 2. Sal told me that the one I was familiar with was actually a second generation even though the didn't call it that, and explained the difference between the first and second generation. It became apparent when I aquired a first gen.
