I have attached links to the pictures. I would appreciate it if you could look over the photos and
confirm whether or not it is a Chinese knock off or the real thing.

I would appreciate it if you could post links that work.

Have a look at the counterfeits on this page compared with genuine Boker products

https://www.boker.de/us/counterfeits.html

Knock off? Its a bit like putting a Ferrari sticker on a Fiat. Is your Fiat then a knock off Ferrari, or a Fiat with a Ferrari sticker?

It is worth about $10. My best guess is that it was made by YPKnife.

Can't see pics. But the Boker Plus (and Magnum) lines are made in China/Taiwan. But most of mine have been good quality - at least in line with pricing. Some are really great for the price.

Looks a lot like those cheapo K/O's very common here in the Philippines...

Look at that paper thin liner lock.

i had one of these (at thebeginning / noob time :p)

it's not a real boker !!! it's a non-knife people trap, chinese crap , keep your money !!! :encouragement:

:loyal:

I think a good indication of its authenticity is that on models like this, the magnum or plus line, they wouldnt use the tree logo. That is reserved for boker arbolito/the tree brand knives. Please correct me if I am wrong. Also the whole thing screams fake.

Ferrari is owned by Fiat .... or is it the other way around?

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles own 80% of Ferrari, last time I checked. Maybe I should have said "Its a bit like putting a Ferrari sticker on a Ford. ... "

But I think you get the idea.

The writings alone prove this is not a real Böker... The Arbolito range is made in Argentina, not in Solingen, and it has no "tacticool" knives. The slogan "Dein Messer made in Solingen" on the blade AND the handle is definitely funny !

I fell for a similar fake a few years ago. It was (supposedly) a Boker Plus, but with the tree logo and "Made in Solingen" on it. Not knowing anything about Boker knives and the various product lines, I had no idea. Well, it was poorly made and I ultimately ended up throwing it out after stripping numerous screws trying to get it working right, but the design was actually really cool. Makes me wonder what knife/knives the design was lifted from.

The OP's knive reminds me a lot of a Gerber Kiowa.

Well there are a few variations. I have an Arbolito etched folding hunter that was made in Solingen. Probably a special run when introducing the Arbolito line. Verified through Boker USA. Limited run with honeycomb bone. Model 2020HCB. Not tacticool by any means, but Solingen does do special runs just like everyone else. Not sayin it's real though. A quick call or email to Boker in Colorado would answer the question. They are very nice folks.
