yeah I would ask for better pics, and if unable to provide there is your answer.

I just posted another , pic, its a blown up version of the original, if you click on it it will open up in a bigger box but you probably new that, try my second pic

Actually I've seen photo's of Emerson Commanders that have the logo placed exactly like that... go look at the photo of the Commander-BTS on knivestown.com.

ymmv,

there doesnt appear to be jimping on the liner lock and the logo is incorrectly placed. Based on that picture, that is a fake Commander.

Handle screws look like allen or torx, and the thumb disc has too much of a relief cut into the blade. Surprised the serrations are the right pattern, though to the wrong scale, that used to be an easy way to tell. Their was a thread about these either here or on USN that was great, have too find it.

All my commanders have screws following the outer edge of the handle, not going straight through the middle like this one and yes the serrations are not "normal".

it is style after the 98 to 00 or 01 Commanders so the handle screws would be correct except they are probably torx being that that is a fake. Note how it appears to be hollow ground and there is also too large of a gap for the thumb disk. Definitely stay away from this garbage.

I'm looking at my stonewashed Mini-Com as I type, (one of my favorite Emerson's), and the placement of the screws and the logo on the blade don't look like mine at all. Unless Emerson has made major changes during the production life of the Commander this knife seems bogus.
What can be seen of the liners looks rough and unfinished and the indent cutout does look too generous for the thumb disk.
That is a lousy photo and the seller either doesn't want to sell it or doesn't want you to know what you're getting.
From the info available I wouldn't take the chance.
Good luck.

BTW...the serrations are rusty and the overall condition of the knife is kinda beat from what I can see.
What were you going to pay for this gem?
Whatever it is is too much.

the serrations look wrong to me, the screws in the middle of the handle i have seen some like that before, i am not sure if it was an '8 or a commander though, i really cant tell from the pic, if it was me, based on just that pic, i would pass.
