Is this a real Sebenza?

In the the bushcraftusa thread you mention the blade is marked with S35VN? Is it literally stamped/etched with "S35VN"?
 
If the washers are solid and the blade is etched s35vn it is more than likely a fake.

CRK never etched their blades and the 25 always had perforated washers. Also the washer on the lock side should have an "ear" bent in it that sits in a hole milled in the handle which indexes it.
 
The pictures are low quality, and you have to be logged in to see them (which I am not). But from what I can see, and what you have said, it is without a doubt fake. The blades have never been marked S35VN, and the 25 has perforated washers. And comparing with my 25, the blade grind is wrong.

Interesting. It only cost her $30AUD, so not really a loss. I'd be interested to figure out what steel it actually is. The scales are definitely real titanium.

I absolutely agree that knockoffs are not good for the company. But for me, It gave me a chance to try out the design of a knife that is too expensive for me to afford brand new, and has made me decide that a really like the Sebenza design, and desperately want a genuine one! It also, for $30, gave me a knife that has decent steel (comparing to my Resilience), a titanium handle, really high attention to detail (surprising for a clone), and a super solid lockup. I'll probably try to grind out or remove the CRK logos from the knife, so as to not damage the company further.
 
I just traded into a beautiful Sebenza. Says 2019 make. I don’t doubt it’s authentic, but the spine is not really rounded. Did they stop doing that?
 
I want to add that I am in no way accusing the trader of any shady practices. I just saw this thread and was curious about the spine on mine just to see if they had stopped the rounding the spine. I probably should have started a new thread. Anyway, I sent the link to CRK just to see what they say.
