Is this a Record?

I've worn my belt cleaner/rubber thingy down to a 2" X 2" rounded square. Of course it rolls off the bench easily and bounces crazily. I just spent 30 min looking for it and finally found it in a place where it couldn't possibly have gone. I know this has never happened to any other knifemaker before;) Do I hold the record for looking for the rubber thingy?
Of course I'm not even mentioning the other one that has been missing for 6 months.
 
No way you hold the record. They sure can turn up in some strange places. When they get that small they look like a big chunk of dirt or some other shop refuse. I have considered spray painting them dayglow green to make them easier to find.

Hey Fred, way to go. I just might do the spray paint thing on it. I just got me a big new one and coloring the little guy might help if I misplace the new one. Damn, No record huh?
 
I keep mine in the bottom of the water cooling tank, next to the grinder. Thats were they end up, anyway.

I use the soles from an old pair of sneakers, so they can't roll or bounce away
