is this a sign of a bad weld?

just starting to make damascus, and im having a hard time figuring out if the line that came out on my blade after my first thermal cycle ( before heat treating ) is a sign of a bad weld? or something else? .... it definitely was not there throughout the whole grinding process, was when i began my first thermal cycle did it appear.. just a small visible line running the length of the cutting edge.. any help would be much appreciated
