My son had this purchased for him today it doesnt seem to have any tang stamp at all identifying it, I think it may be rare prototype?:)

....and I thought it had the unmistakeable lines of of a Taylor production when he didn't actually have a 'genuine' Schrade pattern to follow...........
Nice photo and cute son Tim..Hoo Roo

I'm pretty sure that is the prototype for the vaunted... Custom Shop... Appleseed-Fairgrounds knuckle duster.

That is a real handsome..........young lad you have.

The construction quality appears similar to many of the Irish Imperial products. Perhaps the "Frontier" shield fell off? ;)

Yes Bob I know what you mean on that one, i have one of those and its definitley not crash hot!

My son seems to get more joy out of that one knife than I do out of all mine. Its really got me thinking, Its easy to invest a lot of time with ourselves when just a little of our time can make someone elses world a delight.

Yep thats an original allright- my son is about ready for one of thoes hope I can find one when the time comes- great pics he looks happier than any of us when we get a real knife. I miss thoes simple days. thanks for sharing.-joel

My boy's got a platic SAK knife toy, made in China but it's officially licensed by Victorinox. I put it away until he's at least a year old.

He also has youth model knives from Opinel and Mora. They're put away too...

I believe the model is known as an Australian Toothpick. Great picture! Remember, the knives will always be...the kids grow up way too soon.
