Is this an Ontario BlackWind Katana??

So I picked this up on ebay, the guy didn't know who made it, didn't come with sheath, says we bought it years ago. Looks just like an Ontario blackwind, the demensions are the same but it should be stamped ontario bws 1 but it doesnt say anything on it. What do you think? Could it be an early one without any markings?

guard looks too square to my old eyes but hopefully someone with more knowledge than me will chime in.
