This is probly just me being a noob to the Becker world but i just wanted to get yalls opinions on whether this BK2 was a knockoff or not.

First. Edit out that link. Its a no no to link to non supporting sales website especially the bay. In the future just save the pic and post that. Second yes it is a legit early bk2 from the blackjack Cincinnati era, before Kabar and before the defunked camillus. Its a collector for those that do that sort of thing with beckers. I beat mine up.

Yeah, Blackjack era BK2, with grey powder coat, and comes with rusty screws. :D

I recently got me one, and they are some real BKT history.

Yeah, its real.

Whoops sorry about the link guys. Won't happen again. Thanks for the heads up guys. It just looked a bit different so I thought it might be fake. Might have to pick that up now that i know it's real.

No worries, I know you just wanted to show off the knife.

They are truly marvels, and its cool to see the pedigree of our current incarnation. Like I posted up in the other thread, you can have LE BK10 for less than that one, and they are both special.

Probably best to get both then. :D

No worries man we all done it. Its called deal spotting and is frowned upon since its pretty much advertising. Now if the bay wanted to pony up the cash to BladeForums and support the site, there would be no qualms, but since they (and many other dealers) don't, we don't link to their sites. Now if you come across something on a dealers page that supports BF I don't believe there is an issue. Btw welcome to the Becker forum. You should get a bk10. Call Kabar right now....is it ringing yet?

Is it really worth $199.99?

WOW!

Probably more. I've seen them go upwards to $300 before when a bid war goes down. Those are OLD, OLD BKT's, some would call them, the Originals.

That's all relative. To someone, probably. But to the people he shows it off to, prob not. Its only worth what someone is willing to pay. For example my gramps collects Griswold frying pans, got a few worth a few thousand dollars. To him and that group of collectors they are worth thousands, to me and you I wouldn't pay more than what I can get a new one for at the store where you buy pots and pans (wtf where do you buy pots and pans?)

Lodge Cast Iron outlet in Sevierville. Things are a steal there. Better than half off normal retail.

That will be the next one I get. It looks like a great compromise between a 2 and a 9. I want one so bad but just bought a 9 so I have to wait a while to get one. :D

Don't forget to look into the Ritter MKII Perseverance. Its better know around here as the BK12, but its a good blend, made by a damn fine facility in Idaho. You da ho? No, Idaho. :D

Rowen, Ritter , and Becker, what more could you want?

Micarta handles made from some chick's pants, that's what. :D

Guess I should buy it then and sell it to the op for $350? :D
