Is this Browning a Buck?

Well it looks very familiar at certain angles. The clip and liner lock definetely look like its a Sirus/Tempest parts bind items. The flipper on the blade is also very similar. Its hard to imagine that this is not a Buck knife. I find it hard to believe that Browning would not have this fact noted on the packaging even if only small print. I'm going to guess "YES."

As to the knife, that high hollow grind looks like a winner. It should be a superb slicer. Duracoat is really good grippy stuff on their rifles so it should be very pleasing on the knife.

I'll be very interested if the Buck guys can/will verify involvement.

There was an online auction a few weeks back, the gentleman was selling one of those, but his was a Buck/Browning prototype. I am betting they are made in Postfalls ;)

Buck has made other knives for Browning and they never put Bucks name anywhere on them. I believe there was a set of 4 a couple years back that Buck made. 4 different knife makers I believe... Crowell or something??

Browning never divulges who makes their knives and the makers are, of course, sworn to silence.

So you'll never know for sure.

:D

Although, if it was not from Buck there is nothing to keep them from saying it is not.
