Is this Buck factory filework?

I just bought this 1991 Brown Bone 110 from SMKW's and it was listed as mint in the box. It appears to have file work to the back of the blade and to the liner. I looked at the catalog and it makes no mention of that.

Could this have been factory work or was it done later?

No, I am certain that it is not factory filework; however, it still looks nice!!

dito's with tin
that simple file work is some thing buck
could consider on a custom shop knife..

Along the lines of factory file work...

Who did the file work on the BCCI 2005 Bucklock 532?

Just curious....

Wow, I thought Joe or CJ might toss out some info about factory file work.

The filework on 532's is built into the cintered (sintered?) tooling dies.
The filework on that brown bone 110 was not done by Buck, but it sure does dress up that knife! Nice!

Thanks for letting me know about this Joe. I wonder why SMKW's would list it as "mint in the box" when it had been worked on? Could be they don't know, so I'll question them about it.

I love file work, just wish it was factory though.
