Is this damascus(AEBH, 302 & D-2) as good as D2

Would this be as good as blade made completly of D2 ?

probably no since 302 is an austenitic (non hardenable) grade iirc, but i cant be certain since i know next to nothing about damascus blades.

just want to clarify: however this damascus steel can have higher impact toughness than d2 since 302 should be very tough but not so hard. but for regular knifeuse i´d say its not as good, but this is all depending on application. when heat treating a damascus steel you want 2 (or more) steels that have a similar hardening temperature/curve (well at least they should be somewhat close enough, if not exclusively for wallhangers etc). damasteel works good, however its not 100% handmade so it might not be interesting for you, but the 2 steels in damasteel works good together.
