Is this damascus?

It is my first post here so please be patient with me.

I found this picture some time ago on For sale forum. Is it damascus blade? What confuses me is that the layers seem to be crossed or so. Could someone explain how it is done?

Nice picture. That is Devin Thomas spirograph damascus and looks like it has been blued as well. Can't answer how it is made, but many interesting patterns are being produced now. This damascus is now being also being used by Microtech in their recent damascus offerings.
