Is this Emerson Karambit Real or Fake?

Where was it purchased is a good first question.

I bought it on Ebay in mint condition.
Tough call. The easy first question is did you pay retail or get a really good deal. Additionally, that knife claims to have been made 14 years ago. A common trick vendors overseas do is take an outsting item, like a limited edition Montblanc pen and clone it to every detail. Your knife may be an example of that.

I won the auction and paid close to the retail price. When I asked the seller about its origin, he mentioned that he got it through a trade with a knife collector years ago and, since he's not a fan of karambits, he never used it.

That's plausible. This is getting above my pay grade.
