While leafing through the August 2003 edition of Backpacking magazine, I found a short article on edible gear. I checked out the site. Very interesting! I can't imagine eating my gear whilst on the trail. :D

Surely a joke site. Hehe, into the woods for a three-day trek fully equipped, and you come out nekkid...

they call themselves "Eastern Active Technologies" or EAT for short and under "EAT news", on April 1st,

"04.01.03

Eastern Active Technologies (EAT) comes online! Today, April 1 2003, EAT Rolled out its full service website and online ordering system."

HMMMMM...

Whoever wrote the article in Backpacker must have been in on it. They said they actually ordered one of the items and ate it on the trial. :D

Try ordering something from the site. They say, "Due to heavy server usage, checkout is currently unavailable. However please print out the order form, tape it to a mental patient and go away angry and frustrated." Personally I'm disapointed, I wanted one of those walking poles that tastes like shrimp.
