is this handle G10 or Micarta?

notice how the pug looks more gray and has more distinct swirls than the Scorpion.

What accounts for the accented swirling on the Pug? Is this a Linen-Canvas difference, or is the Pug a different color? Is one bead blasted and the other Shiny Satin?

micarta (and g10) comes in all sorts of color combinations and patterns.

the pug looks to me like a linen micarta, the scorpion could be either g10 or micarta.

If you check out the link below you will see that all those handles are listed as being black G-10.

what link?

You mean on the Polkowski page, I've looked all over the page, I don't see anything saying the images are all G10. Each knife says it comes in G10 or Micarta. The image has no description.

On the left side menu under product line there is a link "steel/handles/sheaths"

Yes that's true...but it's already been established that both designs come in either micarta (canvas/linen) or G10, which is all the link you describe tells us.

What the OP is asking is this: for the 2 specific photos in question, what
handle material is being used, specifically, in those photos? I see no link that describes this, not does the OP, hence his question.

b9wayne: Your best bet would be to e-mail the website...

To me, the first could be G10, while the second is possibly micarta (but which?)...the problem is that I've seen G10 examples that mimic micarta almost exactly.
