Working on this handle shape, I want to make something for push cutting.

If you can tell from looking at the pictures, I would like y'alls opinions. It feels like too thick in my hand, but I know not everybody has a small hand like mine. I wear a size S glove. I am looking for another perspective. Too thick?

It is about 1" thick at the thickest part.

Blade thickness: ~.136" in the ricasso
Blade length: 3"
OAL.: 7 5/16"

Thank you.

I wear a size L glove and own a Puukko that's 1" thick at its widest, and it feels great in my hand. Bit of a different contour to the handle, but just eyeballing it I suspect yours would feel similar to me.

How thick do you want it at the front, at the middle and at the butt?

Answer this and you will bring some character into your handle.

Another vote for looking fine. I wear large gloves and long fingers, and I like a thicker handle if I am going to use a blade for more than a few quick cuts or if significant force is required.

Study some photos for some classic makers (Adventure Sworn, Bark River come to mind). Think about the intended purpose of the knife. Will your hand be changing position frequently? For extended use, it's nice to not have your finger tips digging into the palm of your hand, so a little thicker is OK. Where does your thumb rest? Maybe you want a little scooped out section there. Really well thought out handles take a lot of small details into consideration and it has more to do with feel than looks.
