Hello community. I am new to this site and I'm not sure if I started this thread in the correct place. I need help identifying two swords that I know nothing about. I inherited them both years ago. I would like to know the story behind them. One appears to be a katana but I don't know if they are from the same era Etc. please help!

Can I insert a picture or does it have to be a link somewhere else?

Go to Facebook and upload the picture to Facebook. Make sure you set the privacy to “only me”. Then click the picture after you post it. Then click “view full size”. Then copy the url. Come to this site and click the picture of the mountain and sun immediately above the text box. Paste the url. It sounds complicated, but I can do the whole thing in about a minute.
