If there are no marks anywhere most likely yes.
But you can still fix that tip, sharpen and clean it up and stab something.

In the 50's Koreans were using military brass to make pretty much everything, including knives. Now it's Pakistan using Russian brass. What goes around, comes around.....sorta.?

It looks like a kit blade built out pretty well. I doubt it was a 50s era blade by that design. For years you could buy a blade similar to a Randall Model 2 for hobbyists. I believe they were made in Italy. I made a few and while not the most bestest blades ever, they were very decent serviceable blades.

Since it came from your Grandpa: remember where it came from, and it will always be a priceless treasure to you.
I have a knife from my Grampa, and it is my most prized possession:

Agreeing with Bill. This looks like an Italian Randall #2 style blade that some put a Randall SFG (Single Finger Groove) style handle on -

.

Places like Atlanta Cutlery and surplus stores sold those 60's - 80's very cheaply. It was somewhat common for them to be rehandled in all sorts of things - knuckle knives, custom rehandles, etc.....

I'd re-tip it and enjoy. Even if you don't need a dagger, it would be a cool letter opener.
