As you can see, it's seen better days, and I'm preparing to send it in for repair. But before I do, I had a nagging thought: is this knife the real deal? I'm no expert by any means, but I understand that 440 Stainless isn't exactly considered a "quality" steel? And the "ROC" marking also raises questions. There are no other markings on the knife that indicate anything, much less that it's made by Kershaw. I can't tell you the origin of the knife as I found it in a field in the middle of Ft. Hood. Any of the experts like to chime in?
