I'm looking for a go anywhere EDC folder with a 2.5" blade, or less. I'm hoping to find one that is made in the good ole USA. Options I'd like to have are G10 or Micarta Scales, PE, Flat ground blade with decent steel. Preferably VG10 or S30V, my faves. Screw construction is a huge bonus, as well as a solid lock, preferrably a backlock, framelock, or ball lock. I also would like an ergonomic handles around 3.5-3.75 long so i can get a four finger grip I'm not a huge fan of linerlocks, but this knife won't a heavy duty use type of knife. More of a paper cutter, package opener, so a liner lock maybe suitable. I'm not interested in flippers, or AO's so i think that all but eliminates Kershaws. I currently have a Strider PT, my favorite EDC, and love the handle ergos, 4 finger grip, with a perfect blade length, and would like to find something similar, to rotate with it. So far the only knives that come close to what I want, that I have found, are some Spyderco's. The closest being the Poliwog...only it's SS and has a hollow ground blade. the next up is the Lava, but it's SS and isn't screw constructed, the same with the Dragonfly. Anyways I'm hoping you guys can help me out with more choices ,that I haven't considered.

Thanks

I've got the Caly3, but I'd like to find smething with a 2.5" blade. I probably should just sit tight and wait for Spyderco to release the Urban, which would fit the bill except that I believe it will be a slip joint and will have no lock.

A Fallkniven U2 perhaps? I think it might fit the bill.

You can also try a Spyderco Dragonfly in frn, it's AUS-8 but a really really nice knife.

If you have the Clay already, just take it to a grinder until it's 2.5". :p

I think a Dodo would fit the bill if you can find one.

Blade-tech Mouse 2 in G-10 or carbon with S30v I think this is just what you are looking for.

They are hard to come by though, most online dealers are out of stock. NGK said they talked to Blade-tech and that they may or may not make any more. Also they have been pulled from Blade-tech web site. They do still sell the Mouse Lite 440c, but made overseas. Japan maybe.
