Is this legal?

Have been seeing a bunch of unusual Spyderco marked clothing items turning up on eBay lately. Beginning to think at least some of them were sent TO Spyderco by clothing manufacturers or third party embroidery services in an attempt to get Spyderco to order them for resale. If that's the case then Sal may very well have handed them out to employees, or as apparently is the case with the empty WTC knife boxes, someone's been dumpster diving again.

Anybody can set up an embroidery machine & put logos on astroturf, diapers, anything.
Think of the top-quality "Kolex" watches one can buy on the sidewalk of any major city.
But Sweet Holy Lord, that's an ugly tie.

We didn't make that tie as a company project.

We did have a tie that was made for us by our Australian Disgtributor (Zen), but it didn't look like that.
