Is this legit?

I found this knife advertised at some location I won't specify. Is it legit? I can't find any pictures that show the blade marked in this way...

Upon browsing the "show your Hinderer" thread, I did find a couple with those markings. The price just seemed too good to be true.

A word of caution. If something seems too good to be true, it may very well be..

And images may or may not be of the item being sold...I have NO IDEA where you found this or anything about the "price" you hint at, but be sure the item shown is the item for sale.

Happy hunting.

Valid points, of course. That's why I came here, because I figured if there was any place to get a quick answer, at least on the face of it, this is it :) Anyway, thanks, guys!

I can add that the knife in your photo is indeed legit. I don't know of any counterfeiters who are re-creating the laser-etched RHK logo.

Looks exactly like mine, and I bought it from one of the dealers listed on Rick's web page.

Someone swapped the clip to tip-up carry, but most of us do that the first time we take the knife out of the box.

On another forum I'm on, we say "Buy the seller". Do you trust the seller to send you exactly the knife pictured? If not, tread with extreme caution.

Looks like mine. If seems like a real good deal than use paypal to protect yourself. Make the seller take a picture with the knife and today's news paper. That way u know that at least he has the knife in his possession.

Ok, full disclosure, it is an Ebay auction, and the price has already gone to $500 with 8 days left in the auction, which is to say, way out of my budget.

And it's not done yet. I can guarantee you it won't close for even close to that.
